Xenonauts 2

I have played all the UFO games including the original dos one and the x-com series, which is to say xenonauts had very big shoes to fill. Considering how long it was in early access and how many people's names are in the credits, it's sad that it still seems like an unfinished game. Even adjusting the settings, it is very repetitive. It's bizarre that they hired voice actors yet most of the lines are unvoiced! Not that this would fix it. The long write-ups on the alien tech and weapons are all in large black boxes with extra fuzzy tiny grey text. It's like they brainstormed how to make them as unreadable as possible. It's kind of appropriate that they picked the dullest color scheme possible to match the gameplay. End result, I would rather replay the original UFO than this. the x-com and X2 tutorial by itself is more fun than the entire xenonauts 2 and considering this is the second installment you would think it would be more mature. It's so bad it feels like you're playing on an emulator. Considering the quality of the graphics one wonders why the loading screens take so long. Even the music gets on your nerves. If you turn off sending crash reports option, it will still create one and bug you to send it. They even ended the game with the commander player character as a retired old man in a futuristic wheelchair!

Well, here are my 2 cents. Maps are very small now. You have like 3 types of weapons, in total 2 interceptors, 4 or 5 (only!) different body armors, almost nothing to reasearch, very little and shallow content, 5 different UFO types, 4 different alien races,can complete even the extended campaign in 2 days. Game is a joke. Even less content than you would get from Paradox Interactive. Yeah, it looks nice, but there is NOTHING there! Seems as though ass-lazy developers just wait for the workshop-community to do their work for them. Xeno-1 X-Division was AWESOME. Campaign could take ages, tons of reaserch even though most were empty you still got plenty of shiny thingies. Hordes of Aliens, and I do mean ALIENS. You would figt EPIC battles. Really fight it out. There were tons of things to discover, to produce, to equip. But this!? There is nothing here. You will find more content in an empty trash bin. This is a joke. A mickey taken out on paying fans and gamers. Only fun I actually had is when I played with female soldiers ONLY. Renamed them all after corn-stars, gave them USCM pulse rifles (a mod) and then just steamrolled over the whole campaign. No effort, no excitment, nothing. Still bit fun, only because they were corn-stars. Dont waste your money. In current state even loot-box games on your smart phone give you more content and value for your money. This is a JOKE bordering on SCAM. Go play Xeno- 1 with X-division mod. It´s awesome, unlike this pile of horse manure. Ps: most fun: my (elite) soldier stands next to an alien. Next. That is next grid. Get that. NEXT. Shoots 3 round burst. 69% hit chance. From NEXT grid! 69%!?!?! And... MISSES 2!!! You cant make that sheet up, hillarious. At the same time AI will hit you from pyeerdilliard tiles away, no problem. And you cardboard thin armor will protect you as much as a t-shirt worn by a civilian. Actually a civilian will recive less damage than your soldier in that hi-tech allerium filled body armor. Utter joke. If games were people this one would be the biggest CLOWN in Milky Way. Ps: Oh, forgot to tell you. Every patch, every update (and they come like once every 2-3 weeks) WILL fak up your saves. So if you are in a middle of a campaign, and a patch comes in, you´re done. Prepare to start all over.
