As someone who didn't play the original and started with DW5... I find this remake not that interesting. Some of the retro models looks scary specially Da Qiao... She looks like a funeral doll
The "retro" costumes are actually hilarious, but in an embarrassingly bad way. I love this studio but, Jesus, this such a STUPID DLC idea that I can't believe they actually pulled the trigger on it. That being said, the items do actually seem useful, but just as a shortcut kinda thing. Personally, i'd skip it unless you are a big KTG fan and want to throw them some extra cash.
I think the price for such a minimal dlc is a bit steep, but given the quality of the base game with its 40 dollar price tag, I'm choosing to see this dlc as more of a donation button than anything else. That being said, I will be supporting the hard work that was put into this game in any way possible, because I think the developers truly deserve it. Now please, give me Dynasty Warriors 4 Remastered!
The plus 20 attack is pretty nice to start off with. The retro graphics for each character is funny but not really worth it unless you just want to support them.
If you liked the Original, it is the same thing but a little more and better quality, Very fun
It's not worth the purchase. I bought it for the costumes but they're just low-poly versions of what you already have on, not creative versions "based off" them as implied, it's literally just them. Very disappointed. As for the weapons, they're not what I thought either; I thought it would be a special attribute unique to the DLC, but you just get a weapon with a maxed-out normal attribute like "attack +20" for an early boost, but that's 20 officers/gate captains who drop a +1 attack and you've already caught up. The wind scroll and tiger amulet are also just head starts. The merit scroll makes it a bit easier to get better items (merit is an in-battle stat that affects item drop quality, raised by combinations) but it's also unlockable eventually. Concept art should be in the game already, especially a remaster. This should be a £5 DLC, you can easily pass.
base game is good :) But i regret getting this waste of money Deluxe Edition i feel ripped off those skins / models should be in the base game , everything else is pointless as well this is by far the Worst Deluxe Edition i have ever seen :/ So Dont Do it, only get the base game.
damn i love altered retro costumes *chugs soymilk*
