Came in with my doubts as a classic gears fan but I was satisfied, actually a very nice and neat game with a few big problems. Story could've been better but it was still a nice one, I hope to see a dlc in the future focusing on Baird or Cole's perspectives (at least a part that takes place before Judgement). Game still needs a bit of polishing and for the love of God please fix the crashes. 7/10, and at best, maybe an 8?. Also, please stop doing the open world segments for future gears game's, by far the worst part about this games campaign.

Just got the game for me and my friends and the first impression is terrible. big download. Just to wait to compile shaders. Only to find out one of my friends can't even play the game due to required ray tracing. fun gameplay and looks amazing, but I'm leaving a bad review on principle.

玩这游戏的唯一动力就是那几位猛男 从第五代入的坑 对剧情不太了解 但是pve真好玩吧 说下事变日 那几个女角色我是真的没话讲 我就问谁能绷住？ pvp打不过的话 至少可以打打人机 pve和战役还能开自瞄是我没想到的 真就有手就行 还有游戏内老莫名奇妙报错 不知道啥情况 还没玩多久 目前没有其他问题 给个8分吧
Another excellent game in a franchise that has never disappointed me. The gameplay has been grounded back towards its roots without losing some of the innovative fluidity and QOL improvements 4 and 5 brought to the table. Gears of War has always been a AAA franchise pushing the limits of graphical tech but even this feels a click above their usual insane production value. I can't wait to continue sinking hour after hour into this ♥♥♥♥, I live and breathe it. 🤘🏻
Unable to even start the game due to apparently not having ray tracing requirements.
Not much to say that hasnt already been put to words in a multitude of ways. I wouldnt recommend anyone buy at full price. If you have no interest in verses or horde than I wouldnt recommend you buy it at all. The campaign had all the right story beats to make for a decent prequel, but the characters are weak. Seems the writers equate compelling character development with trauma dumping every chance they get while somehow leaving every character arc flat. There is nothing to gain for fans of the OG trilogy here. On the flipside the gameplay is fun and the set peices are incredibly rich and surprisingly diverse given the game takes place in and around one setting. And of course, there is the one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb that has really rubbed people the wrong way, and that is the DEI. Normally these things dont bother me but the amount of kiwi representation in the game…
