This is most certainly the laziest DLC for JWE3. Nanshiungosaurus should have really had its own rig, but it was just slapped onto the deinocheirus rig, and its juveniles are borderline indistinguishable from the deinocheirus juveniles. Furthermore, its pattern is INCREDIBLY similar to Deinocheirus too, making this species feel like it's an unofficial New Species mod based on Deinocheirus, and not an official paid species. Gobisaurus looks fantastic yes, but it only has a single unique animation to its name, literally every single other one is reused from the army of other ankylosaurs in the game. Yangchuanosaurus looks great, but doesn't have much animation-wise to set it apart... And of course, Tarbosaurus and Sinosauropteryx are paid inclusions from the previous game. The holograms are neat, but they're kind of an all-or-nothing addition. They need every species to have a hologram for…

The holograms are neat, but they're kind of an all-or-nothing addition. They need every species to have a hologram for this mechanic to have value, but this DLC has an extremely limited selection, and bafflingly none of the holograms are of the species included in the DLC. The build set just feels incomplete, several no-brainer pieces that are needed for full buildings are just absent... Not to mention, the promotional material for this DLC was SMOTHERED in issues, as a matter of fact, as of writing this, one of the promotional GIFs on this very page has a typo in the LARGEST FONT ON THE PAGE. Somehow, this paid DLC manages to be worse than the 2 (two) additions in the free update.

The reason for the negative review is because nothing is here to balance out the other dinosaurs because all the dinos in the pack are well normal dinosaurs. You can have your opinion on resold species but i think we need a small break before the next dlc. And i dont like nanshuingosaurus it looks stupid

15$ for Deinosuchus which was an entirely new rig with adjustments to every other species in the game to allow for its animations felt okay. 15$ for no new rigs, two resold species, and a species choice that feels like it would be a slam dunk later on, (Seriously, why tarbo now? Swap him for Wuerho for more representation and save him for a CC/CT pack). This is not worth the price tag, this should be 10$ like Wetlands, maybe 12$.

As far as DLC goes, its a DLC of all time. Approximately $3 per dino if you aren't after the scenery items. I find it to be an equitable price. All of the dinos are pretty solid additions with pretty good detail. Yangchuanosaurus is most people's favorite from the pack and id say its for pretty good reason. Tarbosaurus is monster-ish like its appearance in the prior game, which im personally fine with.

its cool!

I know the 2 resold content is not okay but it is not that expensive so I am ok with it

Althrough i can see why this pack would be popular, i really can't recommend this. its a pack that shouldnt have existed in the first place, the game already has so many Asian species so a whole pack dedicated to Asia is pretty redundant at this point. I feel like Frontiers efforts could have been better spent on a pack that bring more variety to the species roster. Even so, there are many Asian species that could have been added instead that added more variety, such as Microraptor and Shunosaurus. Gobisaurus is just another Ankylosaur and Yangchuanosaurus is just another medium sized therapod in a game that is saturated with them. Dont get me wrong, both are very visually appealing, best in their respective category for all i know, but it doesnt help the problem. Dont get me wrong, both are very visually appealing, best in their respective category for all i know, but it doesnt help the problem. Nanshiungosaurus is the only species here that actually adds diversity, being the second Therizinosaur. Another problem I have are with the animations. Clearly very little effort went into them. Gobisaurus just reuses animations from Nodosaurus and Yang's kill animations are incredibly lackluster. Its incredibly disappointing to me that Tarbosaurus, the worst species in the pack and a reused JWE2 species has the best animations out of all of them. Speaking of which, more resold JWE2 species! yaaay. its clear that Frontier didnt listen to the backlash from Crocodilia Coast and will probably continue this same DLC formula for the concievable future. A highlight of the pack are the modular pieces and blueprints. they look fantastic, but again we already have Asia themed modular pieces in the base game, so is this really necessary? The inclusion of holograms also makes no sense in a ASIA themed pack and are probably just added to artifically boost the pack's value. I could get by paying 21.95 AUD for the croc pack, but absolutely not this. frontier needs to rethink their DLC formula or at the VERY least lower the price of DLCs moving forward for players who already bought the resold content from JWE2. it pains me to write a negative review, i love JWE3 and its improvements from JWE2, but i feel like im getting scammed by paying full price for this DLC.

2/5 resold species. No benefitse for previous owners. Unacceptable.

RECOMMENDEDOct 2, 2026

got it 25% off through premium bundle because i already own everything else so its a steal, love the holograms and decor defo making an east Asia area of my park now

RECOMMENDEDOct 2, 2026

The New Dinosaurs are cool but if they're going to re-sell old species back to us they should at least make the new ones species that people actually care about.
