Cookie Clicker, Melvor Idle, Mechabellum and Hadean Tactics: growing numbers, developing skills and automatic combat with different roles for the player.
Read guide →Inspired by RuneScape, Melvor Idle takes the core of what makes an adventure game so addictive and strips it down to its purest form! This is a feature-rich, idle/incremental game combining a distinctly familiar feel with a fresh gameplay experience. Maxing 20+ skills has never been more zen.

After 300 hours of gameplay (most of it idle of course) I just found out that if I don't have an internet connection the game won't launch. What is this absurdity ? Why does a single player game, with local saves, require an internet connection ? At this point I'm so disappointed I would ask for a refund, but I know it's not possible. I don't feel like playing a game that, if the company that developed it decides to pull the plug on their servers one day, my hundreds (or potential thousands) of hours get wasted. I thought that only "AAAA" games had the audacity to do such a thing, now indie games are copying their ruinous and bankrupting behaviour. I will change my review to a positive one, once the developers implements a proper "offline" mode, which actually is basic, common sense, functionlaity that games from 10 or 20 years ago had.
Great idle game with a ton of content and expansions, buying it on Steam also allows you to play on mobile
Don't waste time on games.
The best Idle game I've played.
For such an old game to be making this impossible to close on steam and then having to go into task manager to force close it. While trying to push your second game onto us is just crazy, not going to buy the second game if you leave your first one with serious bugs.
This game calls itself Incremental in the description, but lacks the user-tag for good reason - doesn't really play or progress like that genre at all. An idler with no scaling, no automation, no snowballing progress. No interactivity - not even SFX or VFX. This apparently functions as Runescape stripped down to its core mechanics to some, but not for me. With no world to inhabit and no avatar to visualise progress on cosmetically, it doesn't capture the coziness of OSRS grind despite the fact it easily could. The developers have a solid vision, though, so I'm sure it appeals to like-minded players. Giving an idler a fair chance unfortunately means leaving it running too long to refund it, and the free version is not on Steam nor even mentioned on it.
