Tl:dr You always have the feeling of progression, but not the feeling of accomplishment. Overall 3/5 A loot piñata game that throws champions/elites and dropping legendary gear to the point the words lost meaning. Still it does tickle a part of the brain asking for more and keep grinding. Easy to get into and experiment. Local co-op is always nice. I'd recommend this game to players who enjoy tweaking builds but do not want to commit the hours these kind of games tend to ask.
its a great small ARPG with funbuilds and extrem scaling for a intense charackter progression.

If you like theory crafting games, with satisfying mob killing. This game is really hitting that sweet spot. Building your character is similar to Grim Dawn's skill/class progression. Max level is 100, but masteries are limitless. Respec is free, which is nice. If you played PoE, or Diablo, it is always a hassle to farm respec points, so free respec at any time is nice, and it allows you to try different builds with only needing to farm gear to complete the build. Not sure what the negative reviews are for. Seems like there is bad beef with some other dev, or paid actor. From a review strictly on the gameplay. This game is definitely a must play in the realm of top down rogue likes / theory craft. What makes this game stand out in comparison to Grim Dawn, and PoE, is that progression to 100 is much faster which I love. -- Quick pointer, put all your first 50 masteries into the g…

Chronicon is an excellent game and a hidden gem. Sure, gameplay / combat is a bit basic / clunky and the story simple and basic but everything else is top notch for an indie game. It has lot of content and it is highly replayable. When compared to other indie games like Hero Siege, i think this one easily beats it because of quality, sure Hero Siege has more content (especially with DLCs) but quality (even though an enjoyable but very flawed game because of the developer who keeps screwing up over it) isn't as great and is filled with microtransactions.
