This game is a true tribute to the show, but it's also a great, fun game! I love the variety of encounters, the jokes, the cast voices they have now (& they keep adding more). The choices you make can completely change the story, which makes for a ton of replayability too! Definitely recommend this game!!!
After playing some hours in this game, overall it isn't bad. There is a lot of balancing issues with the game especially with the new Q extension. Much of what needs to be worked on is the crews morale and the consumption of food. I say this cause its like being on a carnival cruise ship that feels like its a buffet with whiney children. Rather than be adults and make the best, they bring down morale too fast. Supplies in the systems are very minimal. Tech tree is a joke when you can only access like 25% of it; even after playing through one game. It just feels like its confined towards one direction of winning (around what the show would do) vs your own direction. Choose that and its basically game over.
Love this game! Total immersion in the show and the game rewards you (mostly) for following the show's decisions, but also adds a few hidden gems (heroes, tech, etc...) if you make alternative decisions that you wish could have been made during the show.
The game has its issues, the worst is probably the repetitiveness of the combat. Playing on the hardest difficulties is generally fun, but there are some semi-exploits that feel a bit scummy to use. I hope the team will work on tweaking the balancing and fixing the minor issues, not just focus on content. The new roguelite mode is welcome, but the meta progression feels a bit tacked on and leads to a massive difficulty drop from your second run. Lots of room for improvement there. That said, there is a ton to love here, especially as a new player. You'll spend hours optimizing your ship and finding the best strategies, the story is generally well-written, there are voice-overs from the original actors, and your choices feel very impactful. The game feels very true to Star Trek and to Voyager specifically, you can tell the developers are fans. I'm looking forward to the upcoming DLC and…

I love Star Trek games, I want thank you to my amazing boyfriend Adam Goodwin to get me this game.
I just purchased with the big free update with Q trials. So maybe its more fleshed out than before this update but it runs well is fun and entertaining and purchased the Equiinox Dlc because i like that Nova class ship. Its fun Star Trek game as a older gamer that loves trek this is fun and i hope they have other Trek in mind, Next Gen? Ds9 my favorite. What this game is is a choose your own adventure book like they had 30 years ago you decide a b or c and go to that page to see what your choice made it changes how the story unfolds with your choices. Its fun
very challenging, will make you focus more on the decisions you make as they will affect how the game progresses.
The graphics could be better than they are. The characters look like some 90s game. Voiceovers would be good. They got my money because they finally bought the original theme but then they dont use it in anything but the opening screen.
