I love this DLC! Thank you for rebuilding this amazing 4x sim.
Awesome expansion for already amazing game. Adds a ton of content and mechanics, making the Galaxy simulation all the more complex and nuanced. Devs worked hard on this one - a lot of tester feedback got implemented as new features and improvements. Really looking forward to next additions to the game.

Another great DLC for my favorite game. There is a lot of content in this one. I'm very happy. No more time to write. back to the game.
I love the game and so I bought it to support the devs. Not really into the pirate stuff but the DLC adds a lot of cool stuff even if you dont plan on playing as a pirate.
Shadows Rising adds updates and new mechanics to make the game even better. I enjoy this game and am more than happy to support the developers as they improve it.

Eh, not worth the 20 Euro, it adds some new things, just not enough to justify the price, i regret the purchas. If you really really really like roleplaying as a pirate, sure. Cockpit feature gets stale pretty fast. you jump in, see it and thats it. pirate faction, its just the same as in distant worlds: universe, nothing exciting new there. They gave the ships a new skin if you play the rising darkness, epoc, so yay i guess. Disclaimer; I have not fought the Swarm yet.

Playing a solo trader in a 4x, weird but I love it.
A great addition to the series, I’m really impressed by the lone ship gameplay options with all the extra customisation for ships with all kinds of unique components.
P.A.R.T.Y. - It's Pirate Party Time! (Alestorm Reference) :-D A Game Changer - literally! Makes the scope of the game immense! From a single ship in the Age of Shadows to an established Empire preparing allies to help fight in a Galactic Shakturi war, you can take that ENTIRE journey! If Pirates aren't your thing, Empire Play is a ton more interesting now. Not only are the new Pirates styles fun to deal with, there are 2 new planet types containing new resources plus other features unique to this expansion that makes it worth grabbing. 10/10 - will play this game for 6,000 hours again!
