My only offense was posting critical feedback regarding their product state and their pricing strategy. They are actively violating Steamworks moderation guidelines by deleting honest user discontent to artificially manipulate the public perception of this game. My only offense was posting critical feedback regarding their product state and their pricing strategy. They are actively violating Steamworks moderation guidelines by deleting honest user discontent to artificially manipulate the public perception of this game. [b]Silenced for Fair Pricing & Game Quality Critique:[/b] They permanently banned me from their Steam community hub after I voiced my criticism regarding their pricing strategy (putting their games out for high prices, then reducing the prices by 50% or more within a few months after release). I also pointed out major problems with the game, like a barely working multiplayer mode with constant disconnects and lag because they did not even provide dedicated servers for the tiny player base online. [b]Flawed Game Loop & Overpriced State:[/b] Aside from their anti-consumer moderation tactics, the game itself is highly disappointing. The economy is heavily grind-focused, making car progression feel incredibly sluggish for an arcade racer. The worlds feel largely lifeless, the multiplayer has notable bugs, is Peer-to-Peer so you'll fight constant disconnects and lag, and you cannot even free-roam or explore the open world with friends. Furthermore, the multiplayer mode feels incredibly barren for a game released less than a month ago. Matchmaking routinely takes several minutes only to place you into low-population lobbies of 2 to 6 players, with full 12-player lobbies being a rare exception. Worse yet, because it relies on flawed Peer-to-Peer networking instead of dedicated servers, if the host leaves, the entire match instantly disconnects and kicks everyone out, completely erasing your progress and often also resulting in a deduction of rank points. I cannot recommend supporting a developer that completely silences its player base and wipes consumer feedback to hide dissatisfaction. Save your money. I would imagine the whole point of a racing game is to be able to race. I never played a racing game where the gas, brakes, and turning didn't work.

This game is, for some baffling reason, locked to 30fps (and a not particularly stable 30, at that.) The in-game options have a frame rate limit setting, but it does nothing. This is clearly a bug rather than an intentional cap, but we're 3 weeks and a patch post-release now, and Milestone still hasn't fixed it or even acknowledged the issue as far as I'm aware. It's bizarre that the game launched in this state, and really just poor form from the devs to not at least say "we're aware and working on a fix." I loved Hot Wheels Unleashed 1 & 2 and so bought this day 1 on faith that it would be a good product. It isn't, and I regret playing for over 2 hours. If I could refund this, I would. Not recommended, and I will be waiting for reviews / for a sale on Milestone games in the future.
The GOOD: - Variety of cars - Tracks look good - Livery and wheel customitzation - No car is gifted at all - There's no Fast Travel - Daredevils are a cool implementation The BAD: - There's no challange at all at max difficulty - Repeating the same circuit and challange many times pointlessly - Goofy SFX, sorry - The soundtrack you might expect from a 2020's game - Optimitzation? 5070Ti and it overheats till it crashes - You can get really good cars for each category very early so there's no hype on unlocking new ones (that are actually worse) - Every location feels empty despite veing many (single coloured) cars moving arround. - Not one skull in the game. Is this Hot Wheels? - No Tournament mode like in Beat That (Rusher challanges aren't that amazing). - I don't really enjoy the 4 vehicles categories. Speeders are better ones if you can choose. - I paid 100 for this...
The game itself is really fun, but I wouldn't recommend you because it has a REALLY BAD online multiplayer system. It's not even balanced AT ALL, I could literally put my party in and choose the track to my advantage, crashing all the new players. The matchmaking itself is insanely stupid, rookie can matched with the pros and when the rookie loses, they lose a lot of points. How can it be so stupidly unfair? It's gonna be a real hard for a new player to jump into the multiplayer mode.
simple, but i like it
As of now, I cannot recommend this game. The game itself is decently fun, but when some configurations are locked at 30FPS no matter what you do (including disabling/enabling VRR, trying to unlock via other methods), and a patch has come and not even addressed the issue, then I cannot in good faith recommend the game to others knowing that there may be major bugs. Hopefully we see the team fix this issue up.
Dieses Medium an innerer Motivation zu Offenem Gefährten Rennen in einer mikroskopischen Fantasiewelt voll Sammeloffenbarung, erstrebt sich als Sehenswert und ergebnisreich. Sämtliche Anschuldigungen die von zu Wenig Inhalt sprechen, verschlechtern das Weltbild dieser Firma und seinem Ruf. Im Gegenzug zu anderen Medien dieses gleichen Daseins, wie Marios Welten Kart oder Überschalls Gefährten Über-Welt, entpuppt sich dies als eine Hobbytastische Umsetzung für Zwischendurch und ermöglichst es eifrigen Sammlern der alten Zeit wieder tief in die Börsentasche zu greifen. Meine Bewertung hierzu bleibt offensichtlich doch die eigene Vorstellung dieses Mediums, präsentiert sich jedem selbst wie er sie Wahrnimmt. Danke.
