[i]I'd like to start by saying a lot of the negative reviews are very cynical and outright lies or exposes how bad the player really is.[/i] [h1]It's a simple toys game, not every game needs to have one million meta progression nor does it need to be complex.[/h1] My brother gave me his Humble key to play get the game, I'd personally never buy this but I'm enjoying it so far, reading through the negative reviews first did lower my expectations just like it also made me realize just how much of it isn't true. Here's a few things people point out wrongly - You can't preview what the enemies are beforehand. That's just not true at all, the bosses however might be a small issue but you are notified about new enemies the waves they appear on and you're given time between missions (after Chapter One) to decide what toys you want to use. - The levels aren't dynamic i.e lanes shifting and environment gimmicks. Whoever said wrote this really just skipped and ignored everything, you're shown lane shifting in the second level and gimmicks already appear on the fourth level, either this is just blatant lie, outright ignoring simple instructions or maybe they wanted more. - You can't pan out the camera. You're told in the first level how to turn the camera around, you can hold right click to move it. It is done in "first-person" in a traditional sense this is a little quirky but I think they just didn't get the point of the narrative. I've played a lot of games and it's kind of upsetting seeing reviews spreading misinformation due to lack of player comprehension, haven't played this game long enough to see more of the later stages but with just what I've played you can already tell the cynical reviews aren't exactly fair and are mostly there as petty jabs because their free Humble keys gave them a game that isn't gamer enough. PS Kevin isn't that annoying, the one liners do get old pretty quick but he's fine, there's definitely more annoying protagonist in other games.
