It is a game that is very generic but not in a bad sense at least imho. It crashed once but it think it{s because I had it set to upscale with FSR which does not work well with a lot of games either way. The story is interesting enough to keep you wanting more and the gameplay although a bit rough, it{s charming. I honestly thought I{d return it after 2 hours but I kept playing because it felt familiar. The magic system is simple, the melee combat feels pretty rough, and bow and arrow is actually kind of good. Cannot swim, which means instant death in the water (kind of stupid). Overall is a 7/10 game. Just play it if you are bored and can catch it on a discount.
This game was a disappointment for me because it was on my wishlist for a very long time and turned out to be not what I expected. To begin with, optimization is not very good. I was getting constant frame rate drops with an RTX5080 no matter what I selected in the graphic options. The graphics are also very outdated in my opinion and look pretty bad overall. There are also too many places where the graphics are too dark, even with the nighttime brightness maxed. The save function is also not very good. It really only saves at checkpoints. Even though there is an option to quick save, the game doesn't actually save like a manual save. When you return to the game, you are placed at a checkpoint with respawned enemies. And every time you are killed, you are also placed back at a checkpoint with respawned enemies. Another aspect of this game that I didn't care for is that you cannot loot …

And every time you are killed, you are also placed back at a checkpoint with respawned enemies. Another aspect of this game that I didn't care for is that you cannot loot bodies of the enemies you kill. You cannot interact with them at all. Some items they carry just pop into your inventory without you getting an option to select what to take. The inventory system is also very dull in my opinion with just text and icons. Combat is also extremely awkward with your character wildly swinging a sword through the air without actually hitting enemies. The difficulty also seems unbalanced in the beginning of this game with enemies dealing way too much damage, even on the easiest difficulty. There is also no easy way to replenish health. There are also too many boss battles in this game for me to enjoy. I also found the quests, story, and gameplay uninteresting and dull. Overall, I did not enjoy my time spent with this game so I cannot recommend it. I believe I will just stick with Skyrim, which of course is FAR superior to this game in every way,
This game is really awesome! its very nostalgic! Alot of loot to gather. I do have one critic, I have noticed that wearing armor verse wearing none has little effect minus stamina. I tried both ways with armor and without armor several times to ensure I wasn't lacking and to my knowledge besides stamina I didn't see any change really. So i played the other half of the game with no armor and found it to be easier. Other than this the game was pretty awesome!!
A little on the simple side so far at about 3 hours in. Enjoying the exploration, and level design so far. Feels like a "Fable lite" so far.
I'm a little less than 8 hours into the game but I've spent the entire time in the first chapter just exploring these maps. The design is genuinely great, always urging me to check every nook and cranny because even if you're just finding junk you can dismantle it for valuable crafting materials or sell it for a ton of cash. You can find side quests sitting around that lead you to even more areas in a map you thought you fully explored. Combat is great though I've seen complaints in many reviews that almost made me not buy the game. That would have been a tragedy. People seem to have expected Elden Ring, but the combat in this works much like it did back in the 360 era action RPGs like Kingdoms of Amalur. It allows you to kite enemies, take cheap shots and generally use the systems to your advantage. It's not about learning the enemy attack patterns, it's about playing with the game's …

People seem to have expected Elden Ring, but the combat in this works much like it did back in the 360 era action RPGs like Kingdoms of Amalur. It allows you to kite enemies, take cheap shots and generally use the systems to your advantage. It's not about learning the enemy attack patterns, it's about playing with the game's systems. Ignore the fact that it has a stamina and a dodge roll, they work well in this game and add a little depth to the combat. But this is NOT a souls-like, and shouldn't be. We have enough of those. Impressive as well is the art direction. It's not the most realistic game ever made, nor are the graphics perfect, but the uniform artistic direction makes the world itself immersive. It's also easy to read and easy to see, as in traversing levels and spotting enemies is effortless. Despite how many areas wrap in upon themselves and generate almost mazes, at no point did I feel lost because everything appears unique, and the art direction and map design lend themselves well to understanding where you are. No performance issues at all running on Epic settings. I'm thoroughly impressed, and even more so that this was crafted by 7 people. I will update if the game begins to disappoint me as I've not yet finished it, but with how much fun I've been having I figured this deserved a positive review.
Even after only a short time playing, it's pretty clear that the game isn't quite polished yet. There are constant stutters, and the upscaling filter makes everything look so blurry that it feels like I'm playing with myopia. It's honestly pretty disappointing. I've been waiting years for this game to come out, only for it to launch in such a poorly optimized state. My system can handle much more demanding AAA games with far more polished visuals and performance than this. I really hope the studio puts more effort into optimization and performance in future updates.

Замечательная смесь fable и souls like игр
Overall a fun experience with some flaws. There are 9 chapters, a finale, and an epilogue. The epilogue gives you access to a dev room, they left notes and fun things to look at, which I loved. The first 70% of the game were the best. Sidequests, mobs to hunt, chests to find, lots to see and explore. A good mix of weapons and magic and potions to use. You can make your own potions! With different effects. And you name and color it. I liked that. If I had to compare it with other games, I'd say Fable and Tainted Grail and Skyrim had this as a baby. But after the fun times, the last 30% show that it is made by small team and that there were limits to their budget. The last sets of dungeons appear to be maze-like, but when you actually walk through them, they become veeery linear. Also, the mobs repeat in the end a lot, lots of zombie like blob creatures. I admit I ran through some sections, because I didn't feel like fighting the same thing for the 10th time. I played this on normal and sometimes on easy, when I died too much to a boss near the end. Towards the end there were no story sidequests, or I wasn't able to find any. I enjoyed the music, voices and story, everything was fitting. The only thing I hated was the jumping. It's weird. Sometimes you have minor platforming sections, but it drove me nuts at times. It seemed momentum based? This is the only thing I wish the devs would look into again.
Really loved playing this game - the developer's garden at the end of the game which features notes from the developers is a really great little touch to finishing it. I appreciated them doing that. I think it's a really lovely looking game for what it is - the art style very much suits and adds to the type of game that it is. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the constant respawning of enemies when you travelled back to areas. I would also say this game has what many triple A games now lack today - a great sense of fun and charm to boot that is entirely infectious!

Dark Souls if done by the other Miyazaki. The colours are vibrant, the bosses are easy. There is a boss with bare feet alright. And the best part? The swamp zone has no poison!
Visually and artistically, the game is absolutely stunning. The fantasy world and exploration truly immerse you in a medieval fantasy setting. I'm currently enjoying my playthrough and haven't finished it yet, but I wanted to jot down some key areas for improvement. If these elements were added, they would easily elevate the game to a masterpiece level: Character Origin: The beginning of the game would benefit from a more story-driven introduction. I’d love to see a prologue showing how the protagonist actually became a mercenary and how they learned swordsmanship, magic, and alchemy. Spellcasting Audio: Casting spells needs more audio feedback. It would add a lot of immersion if the character spoke a short incantation or made a specific sound when initiating a spell. Inventory UI: The inventory menus are currently a bit too basic. Adding hand-drawn or 3D icons for items, displaying t…

Inventory UI: The inventory menus are currently a bit too basic. Adding hand-drawn or 3D icons for items, displaying the character's 3D model in the equipment screen, and redesigning the menu borders and colors to fit a medieval aesthetic would be a fantastic upgrade. World Liveliness (NPCs): The world feels a bit empty due to the lack of NPCs. While I understand the lore mentions mass migration because of the war, the game needs some life. Adding a few wandering NPCs, playing children, traveling merchants you can bump into on the roads, or random encounters with strangers asking for help would make the world feel alive. This alone would allow the game to compete with massive AAA titles. Narrator Commentary: Adding a narrator who reacts to story events, voices the character's inner emotions, or drops witty and humorous comments would make the overall gameplay experience so much more entertaining. Last but not least, the game is incredibly fun, and I want to thank the developers for their hard work. We rarely see this specific style of game in today's market anymore. The adventure continues!
