It is a simple game, but nice and deep. Well worth the small price. Still wish you could change weapons mid dive though- just like the last one you can swap out weapon buffs but not weapon components.

The tutorial is actually is an absolute masterclass in how to introduce someone to your game and its mechanics without being overbearing in any way, while also allowing the player freedom of choice, mixed in with humour. It's absolutely amazingly done. Everything is easy to understand once presented to you in the best way possible, but MAN would you be lost without it if you chose to ignore it. There is a tonne of variety in the enemies and differences in each run, giving a great feel to its roguelite nature. The synergies between the upgrades, weapons and parts attached to the player are absolutely insane. There is a WILD variety and allow you to pinpoint precision build how you want, as well as experiment with crazy mechanics and breaking-the-game synergies you love to see in games like this. Plenty of meta currency upgrades in between each run, as well as events you run into mid-run that keep it interesting. I'm only an hour in and I've seen so much already and enjoyed myself immensily. This game is absolutely worth picking up for the price point, even moreso on sale! It's $14.29AUD on sale currently and it's worth every dollar and I;m only an hour in. Pick it up if you're like me and have played dozens of crazy synergy-driven roguelites, you won't be disappointed.

So I never played the first one. Be like me, unlock Jester. Weird goofy character, did wacky things in title screen Game progresses. Things get more deranged. Did.... did the game just link me to a youtube video about gaming consoles? 10/10 the chaos is fantastic
