The constant popup comments are super annoying and condescending. Even turning off tips they are constantly coming up telling me how to play the game even after the tutorial was over. The developer needs to chill out. Let us figure it out, we're not idiots.
It is a simple game, but nice and deep. Well worth the small price. Still wish you could change weapons mid dive though- just like the last one you can swap out weapon buffs but not weapon components.

The tutorial is actually is an absolute masterclass in how to introduce someone to your game and its mechanics without being overbearing in any way, while also allowing the player freedom of choice, mixed in with humour. It's absolutely amazingly done. Everything is easy to understand once presented to you in the best way possible, but MAN would you be lost without it if you chose to ignore it. There is a tonne of variety in the enemies and differences in each run, giving a great feel to its roguelite nature. The synergies between the upgrades, weapons and parts attached to the player are absolutely insane. There is a WILD variety and allow you to pinpoint precision build how you want, as well as experiment with crazy mechanics and breaking-the-game synergies you love to see in games like this. This game is absolutely worth picking up for the price point, even moreso on sale! It's $14.29AUD on sale currently and it's worth every dollar and I;m only an hour in. Pick it up if you're like me and have played dozens of crazy synergy-driven roguelites, you won't be disappointed.
I explicitly said that I don't want a tutorial during the forced tutorial and I was still forced to choose a chip, buy the tank, and use all my research points on the first page of upgrades. I liked the first game and am very familiar with the concepts that I had to follow through the tutorial. Until there is a proper skip after saying NO to the tutorial or a way to skip it entirely (preferred), my review will be negative

A great roguelite shooter with tons of different parts to customize your starting setup, providing a variety of playstyles to experiment with.
So I never played the first one. Be like me, unlock Jester. Weird goofy character, did wacky things in title screen Game progresses. Things get more deranged. Did.... did the game just link me to a youtube video about gaming consoles? 10/10 the chaos is fantastic
