From Beyond: Arcade Edition

Got hit with this totally at random in the Discovery Queue and was immediately hooked by the premise (a neon shoot-'em-up that's also an entire rock album? Hell yeah!) and I absolutely do not regret my purchase one bit. It plays [i]really[/i] well, the ship's handling is smooth and precise and the shooting is fun (and at times challenging, especially if you're trying not to get shot a bajillion times), all of this to an absolute [b]BANGER[/b] of a soundtrack. There's also lots of silly things stuffed in there, too, if you peruse your collection of VHS tapes (also [i]man[/i] to be old enough to remember what a VHS tape actually is, yeowza), as well as the short list of ships you can unlock. Easy recommendation for anyone who likes rock music and arcade shooters. I'll definitely be listening to this soundtrack later on, too; thanks for giving us that purchase option!

Fun chaotic game that calmed my ADHD! Had a good time playing it with the different levels still playing through the story but it has been fun! The shields are a big help!

Pretty smooth gameplay, soundtrack is very catchy! I would also like to see invincibility when you dash! Anyways, I'll meet you at the food court..

Game is just a great time. Full of nostalgia, both in gameplay and music.

Loads of fun. Intuitive gameplay pairs well with a fast uptempo retro soundtrack. The weapon system seems simple at first but the ability to combine weapon upgrades is a fun twist for tight situations. My one suggestion would be to limit the use of jumps with a recharge timer but also make you invincible during a jump/shift. Looking forward to expanded level options.

Killer soundtrack, radical visuals, key ingredients to a dynamite time! Collecting the VHS tapes is a fun way to unlock additional ships. Can't wait to unlock the final ship! Highly recommend this game :)
