Solid game. Cute sho MC and lovely art. The difficulty is a little on the easier side. Many of the game mechanics, such as launching, pogoing, stomping, and uppercut, are mostly used in platforming, which is fine since the platforming is fun. I wish there were more opportunities to use Okko's full moveset in combat.
Tentei jogar no teclado e a configuração é bizarramente horrível.

Tentei jogar no teclado e a configuração é bizarramente horrível.
As a heads-up: I do recommend this game. It's a nice quick play, you should give it a try! Gameplay / General: It's a metroidvania with cute pixel-artstyle and a loveable protagonist. The gameplay focuses more on movement control and attack timing. In this game, you have to time your attacks with your so called heartbeat, in order to maximize damage. Each world contains secrets and hidden passages that are fun to look out for. The Artstyle is lovely and consistently so throughout the game. Difficulty wise it's easy to mid. The Bosses look amazing and are also fun to fight and the variety of enemies is decent. Small sidenote: For some reason, the font on the loading screen looks really out of place. Music: The bgm is too calm for the action that is going on, I'd prefer something that elevates the fighting mood. The current music reminds me more of a spa than an action game. One thi…

Music: The bgm is too calm for the action that is going on, I'd prefer something that elevates the fighting mood. The current music reminds me more of a spa than an action game. One thing I really disliked was the way you unlocked the gold star ranking at the old throne depths. Warning - Spoiler ahead:
You're basically fighting lots of enemies at once in a tight space and you're not allowed to get hit even once. You can restart the level from the pause menu, but the restart option is uncomfortably many clicks away and reloading the stage takes too long. I don't like the idea of a hitless challenge in the first place, as I would rather see it as a challenge for specific type of players (speedrunners, etc). Having it as a requirement to unlock parts of the game is unnecessary. And if you really have to have it in your game, please make sure to adjust the restart option in a way, that is most comfortable to reach, for example a button combo. I also don't understand the appeal of such a challenge. You're basically forced to memorize patterns by failing again and again. What's the take away? How about having this as the challenge for only one or a few of the underground areas, while adding new challenges for the other ones, to make it more interesting and less frustrating or dull. My stance towards hitless challenges should be clear by now, but I gave it a try nontheless. After finishing all the levels, my opinion didn't change.
En: It was a really fun game, you could offer better equipment, I found it pretty generic, but the rest of the game makes up for it with amazing boss fights.
Pros: + The pixel art is very pleasant to the eyes and coupled with the very very good character design (from Okko himself to the bosses and the NPC cast) it allows the game to offer an overall striking presentation + Platforming and combat are satisfying even if they are not anything too special, yet the moment to moment gameplay is solid and fun to experience +The soundtrack is amazing, really a banger +The story and mithology are fascinating Cons: - Even if up with the asking cost, some might find the game slightly too short (around 9-10 hours) - The end of level miniboss reuse is a pity, hopefully a sequel can give more variance in that field - the 'bump on thing' jump is not the tighest, often you feel as the game does not get your prompt while doing it which can cause some frustration Okko the exiled is a short and sweet action platformer with a very likable protagonist, a f…

Okko's story is interesting and pushes you to the end without ever feel like a drag while some minor imprecisions in the controls and reuse of encounters drag the overall exprience down from the very high potential it could reach. Recommended 7.5/10

Primeira vez jogando Okko: The Exiled! ^^
game freezes in the first level. i want my money back
Funny little guy
